Park-goers were in for a real treat, as a talented foursome of friends gathered to put on a show unlike any other. The four met up at a park, sat down at a table, and whipped out a stack of four clear and red glasses. But it’s what they do with those cups that has the video going viral. Not only are their voices perfection, but their creative handywork with the cups takes the song to a whole new level.
Cohorts and fellow musicians Sam Tsui, Kurt Hugo Schneider, Madilyn Bailey, and Kina Grannis decided to put a twist on an incredibly popular song, and it didn’t disappoint. Singing “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” by Zayn and Taylor Swift, their a cappella is just astounding! Their harmony is seamless, flawless, and beautiful. But it is the cups routine they choreographed and incorporated into their performance that people are raving about. Singer and actress Anna Kendrick first made the cup trend popular when she auditioned for the a cappella group The Bellas. Her voice was beautiful, her pitch impeccable, and her smacking, flipping and thwacking of an empty cup made the trend a global sensation.
