These salt water horses live along the banks of the Salt River in the Tonto National Forest of Arizona. They often play in the river to cool off from the temperature extremes. When a wild stallion named Champ saw a young filly and foal playing by the water’s edge, his guard was up. Unfortunately, the foal was knocked into the river and almost drowned. Champ rushed to the rescue and saved this sweet girl’s life! This video shows photos of the rescue.
