Carol Burnett received a lifetime achievement award from the Screen Actors Guild on Jan. 30, 2016. Burnett, 82, is best known for her eponymous variety show, “The Carol Burnett Show.”
The show helped propel the careers of a variety of people such as Vicki Lawrence, Harvey Korman and Tim Conway. In light of Burnett’s receipt of the SAG Award, skits and characters from the show have set the Internet alight.
One clip that is fast gaining attention on YouTube features Tim Conway on “The Tonight Show.”
Before Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert were duking it out for late night supremacy, Johnny Carson was the king.
In this segment on “The Tonight Show,” Carson interviews Conway, who is in character as Dorf. This time Dorf is a jockey.
Though Dorf is one of Conway’s most beloved characters, it’s not exactly a politically correct character. You see, Dorf is a diminutive person who is always in the thick of things, and the fact that he is an ill-shaped little person is part of his appeal.[mashshare]
