Dr. Carey Andrew-Jaja is a obstetrician and gynocologist at the Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, located in Pittsburgh. He’s delivered thousands upon thousands of babies, and sings to every one of them. He thinks of singing to them as singing to a miracle of life, and loves doing it.
He got the idea from an older obstetrician before he retired, who also sang to the babies he delivered. He will sing them many songs, from “Happy Birthday” to “It’s a Wonderful World”, and believes it starts a connection between patient and doctor.
All the babies, and the new parents love it and it has made him popular among those in the hospital. He loves the special connection he makes with his patients and says he’ll continue to do it for years to come. Love what Dr. Andrew-Jaja is doing? Feel free to like and SHARE on Facebook!
