Spaghetti and meatballs are a staple of any dinner table. As well as being easy to make, the meal is delicious. Yet often times, it can feel stale. Not because the meal itself is worn-out, but because the set-up can be downright boring. In order to spice up a common dish, it is best to flip it on its head.
That is what this simple recipe has done. Given you the common spaghetti and meatballs option, but from a completely new angle.
First you boil your spaghetti in hot water for about seven minutes. After you drain the pasta, apply 1 ½ tablespoons of olive oil to keep the pasta from sticking together. Stick the pasta in the fridge for about 30 minutes, and after it’s cooled, toss a cup of grated Parmesan cheese on top. Mix it up.
Set your oven to 375 degrees F. Apply cooking oil to a 12 hole muffin cooking sheet. Put some pasta in each of the 12 containers, making sure its evenly divided up. Put a tablespoon of pasta sauce in the center of each. Then you’ll put a cooked meatball in each hole, before adding another tablespoon of pasta sauce on top. Then you’ll add more Parmesan cheese to each. Stick the tray in the oven.
It is done when you notice the cheese has melted, and the pasta has hardened. Let it cool off, then place it on the serving tray. It’s ready to eat!
A fresh take on spaghetti and meatballs that is both easy to make and will get a lot of praise from the hungry family.
