The turkey Blossom was five weeks old when he was rescued and taken to the shelter. One of the women set her up there in her office, but the turkey was terrified and out of place. So the woman brought the turkey home and introduced it to her dog, Mino.
Blossom immediately found solace and confidence there, and Minnow responded by leading the turkey to her dog’s bed. The two bonded and became good friends. They looked at the windows together and played with toys together. But Blossom wasn’t meant to stay forever.
My mom thought Blossom would be better off on a farm with other turkeys and lead the life she was born to be. But the turkey quickly became depressed and sat in one place for three days. Blossom wanted to be with Minnow in her real home, so mom went to pick her up!
The two friends chose exactly where they left off: to be best friends and do it all together! Love is universal, and this strange couple is proof of it.
