Everything is so much better when it’s supersized! It doesn’t take much effort when delighting yourself or splurging yourself with the right easy-to-make recipe. But now, you don’t have to settle for the tiny bite-sized cups. In this video by Cupcake Addition, you can now upsize your favorite Reese’s Buttercup; here’s how to do it.
round non-stick baking pan
non-stick baking paper
mixing spoon or mixer
2 cups of melted milk chocolate
1 cup of smooth salty peanut butter
1 cup of icing sugar
3 tablespoons of salted butter
To begin, grab a non-stick round baking pan— the video features a removable bottom pie pan; but, if you don’t have that, you can settle with a typical round non-stick baking pan or a silicon pan. Cut the baking paper to the size of the bottom of the pan and slide it in. Pour in one cup of milk chocolate and evenly spread the chocolate on all sides of the pan. After spreading it evenly, pop them in the refrigerator until the chocolate hardens. While waiting for the chocolate to cool, grab a mixing bowl and put in the butter, peanut butter and icing sugar and mix them together. To make life easier, grab a mixer and start off with a slow speed to prevent a dust storm and mix them into a thick lumpy looking batter.
Remove the chocolate from the fridge and pop the milk chocolate shell and trim the sides. Using the same baking pan, mold the peanut butter mix and pop it off the pan. Trim the edges of the peanut butter mix to make sure it fits the milk chocolate shell. Put the peanut butter batter in the shell and slather on the remaining cup of milk chocolate evenly, let the chocolate go into the spaces between the chocolate shell and batter. To have that smooth Reese’s buttercup top, grab a ruler or a long knife and smooth the top. Let the Supersized Reese’s Buttercup cool in room temperature or put it in the refrigerator— make sure it doesn’t there for too long or else it would be too hard to slice. Once it cools, grab a knife and slice!
