World cinema often goes under appreciated due to the subtitles needed to watch them. This is a great shame as it’s sometimes good to get an idea of how different cultures tackle certain issues. This Singapore romance film has been produced perfectly, and it’s a real tear-jerker.
Without wanting to give too much of the plot away, “Second Chance” is a short film about a man and a woman who struggled in their relationship, but learned as time went on that time itself can be a healer.
The film is around seven minutes long, and the YouTube video is subtitled in English and Chinese for your convenience. The video was published in January 2016 and has attracted plenty of positive comments so far, which is unsurprising given the adeptness of the actors and the sublime directing.
