From time to time, strangers can surprise us.
Whether through an anonymous bombshell or the actions of a Good Samaritan, it’s always refreshing to hear stories of complete strangers doing something positive for each other.
An 88-year-old vet found a note from a stranger on his windshield. But that simple remark affected him in a way he had never expected.
Bob Bradshaw of Omaha in the northeast spent 14 years overseas, serving in Korea and Vietnam. Retired from the US Air Force with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel after 30 years of service.
As such, his car had “disabled American veteran license plates”, as well as a bronze star sticker.
He parked that same car in the parking lot of his dentist office when he went to make an appointment on January 18.
When he got out next, he found a white envelope on the windshield.
Opening the envelope, he found a $20 bill, with a short message.
The letter read: “Thank you so much for your service to our country. I appreciate all you have done to make the United States of America great. Please enjoy Ali’s meal. I know that It’s not much but I hope it helps! Friend.”
“There are a lot of good people out there,” Bradshaw said in the video below, before breaking down in tears.
