The New Zealand Thames police dog has disappeared during a search and rescue operation on the peaks of the Tararoa Mountains. His manager didn’t want to stop the search until he found him.

“The Thames was found early Sunday afternoon by his assistant Mike Wakefield and seasoned volunteer researcher John McCann. Hungry and little cut after a week of collecting food, the Thames was able enough to get out at the end of Mt Holdsworth Street at about an hour 5 p.m. tonight, along with his very happy captain and the rest of the six-member team.
