A well-placed doorbell camera captured the fast-moving instincts of the on-the-go FedEx driver. Instead of calling 911 and waiting for dispatch, Sloan took over.
After shouting for help from the neighbors and receiving no response, he somehow hit a garden hose.
After climbing over a pair of trash cans, the obedient passerby extinguished the fire before it caused more damage. Amazingly, the whole incident was immortalized on tape.
It turns out the property belongs to a man named Alberto Rios. When the fire broke out, he and his wife were at work. So no one was home to avoid this potential catastrophe.
If not for the happy coincidence of Sloan’s arrival, the house would have been completely engulfed in flames.
While Sloan used his holy efforts to prevent the tragedy, Rios received several urgent calls from neighbors informing him of the hell building in his backyard.
Naturally, this was followed by a frantic rush to get off work and go home. He had no way of imagining that the impending destruction would be averted until he arrived at the scene. In the end, the mad dash was for naught. Thanks to an angelic intervention, everything ended well in the evening.
The moment he showed up, Rios had nothing to do but thank Sloan from the bottom of his heart. Amazingly, the FedEx driver had left Ground Zero by then and was back on his deliveries.
As a result, Rios expressed his gratitude to the media, expressing his appreciation in an interview with NBC saying, “There aren’t many people who would have done the same thing. There were cars passing by that didn’t nothing done.”
