As the officer questioned the couple, another brought the bag and opened it to reveal a tuxedo cat inside, reports the Manchester Evening News. Nick later said Cooles left her purse largely empty as they planned to go shopping in New York.
And so there was plenty of room for the underground cats. Nick also described Candy as a curious cat who liked to hide in small spaces.
The presence of the cat seemed to confuse security, and they kept asking Cooles if the bag belonged to them. However, they soon realize that Cooles didn’t intentionally bring Candy with them.
For Collis’ comfort and gratitude, airport staff allowed them to call two friends, Barry and Lorna, to come to the airport and pick up the stray cat.

When Nick posted about the experience on Facebook, he thanked both airport security and his friends for bringing Candy home, so he and Foyer could catch their flight and get to New York.
Her post received thousands of shares, likes and comments from people who know Kandy. Several reviewers mentioned that they could imagine their cats trying to cover themselves with luggage to join them on vacation.
The Cooles enjoyed their vacation in New York and eventually returned to Kandy.
