The old man was frustrated when staff refused to help him and was later kicked out of the local Bank of America branch.
So when Robert, an officer from the Montebello Police Department in Los Angeles, California, arrived on the scene, he decided to do something else to help the old man.
Show mercy to a 92-year-old man by helping him renew his ID card and bringing him to the Department of Motors and Vehicles for a new license.
After he was able to help the old man get his new license, he then took him back to the bank before it closed so the elderly could withdraw his money.
Later, the Montebello Police Department posted a photo of Robert helping the 92-year-old with the bank on Facebook and it immediately went viral on social media.
Many users praised Robert for helping the old man renew his license and withdraw his money. “All Little Grampa wants is to maintain his independence. The officer helped him graciously. Good employee!” wrote one user.
Officer Robert Josette Thank you very much for helping this old man, it could be my father or my grandfather Another user wrote, God bless you… and thank you for your service.
However, despite all the praise he received, Robert remained humble, saying what he was doing wasn’t much of a problem.
