Cooper immediately noticed that something was wrong with one of his tables. The two young children in the family were particularly difficult. The child, whom Cooper probably described as two years younger, had a black and blue face all over.
Cooper told WPSD that when the baby cries, her dad takes her to the bathroom. The waitress from Paris, Tennessee, also said the parents treated the kids harshly and got angry quickly.
Since she couldn’t get rid of the hunch that something was seriously wrong, Cooper was able to take a photo of the man. The quick-witted waitress also managed to get the car’s license plate.
Authorities were immediately notified of the incident. “She looked at me with a face telling me to help,” Cooper told the Department of Environmental Protection and Development of one of the children.
Cooper also put the information on social media, and she quickly garnered more than 1,000 shares. Due to his actions, Mark Lee Pierce and Jessica Woodworth were charged with child abuse and neglect.
Luckily, the cute kids are now safe.
