Taylor was driving a truck one day when he heard a woman screaming inside the car. When he looked inside the truck, Taylor saw a man and a woman in an altercation, and was shocked by the look of “fear” on the woman’s face.
“I noticed she was in trouble. I tried to open the door…I couldn’t open it,” Taylor recalls. “So I knocked on the glass, and that’s when he pulled away from her.
Taylor managed to rescue the woman whose mouth and nose had been plastered, and took pictures of the suspect’s white van. One of the photos showed the suspect’s license plate, which allowed police to locate and arrest the assailant.

Police assume the suspect has targeted other victims in the past since the daylight attack occurred. Police praised Taylor as a hero, and commended him for taking the time to stop and help a woman in need.
