Lisa Oz, 56, is a radio and television personality in her own right, and a published author with her books appearing on the New York Times bestseller list multiple times. She is also a Professor of Reiki, Naturally Savvy reports.
She married Dr. Oz in 1985 and introduced her husband to alternative medicine and oriental mysticism, which he included in his health advice offering. The couple have four children together.
She joked to Shape Magazine that her marriage to Dr. Oz had been arranged. Indeed, the two’s parents are good friends and set them up on their first date. At the event, sparks flew and the couple married seven months later. They have been married for 35 years, which is an amazing feat. Lisa revealed one of the key factors in the success of their lasting relationship in an interview with Yahoo! life way:
“I think one of the things that has kept us together is the fact that we don’t miss each other, but more importantly, we try not to take each other for granted, and when we value our relationships and are grateful for them, that keeps the little things in perspective.”
The couple’s first child, Daphne, lived a healthy life in the family’s New Jersey home and, like her parents, works as a television anchor. She is best known for co-hosting the popular ABC daytime show, “The Chew”. The family is devoted to each other and seems to live an idyllic life.
