According to the official Eindhoven Police Facebook account, Dutch police first responded to the woman’s home in Woensel-Noord last week.
They arrived at the same time as the ambulance, which then took the woman to hospital for tests. Apparently, a woman suffers from hypoglycemia, a condition when the level of glucose in the blood falls below the normal level.
After the woman was taken to hospital, the two officers realized he would not be watching any of his five young children if they left.
So the two policemen decided to step in and do what they thought was best for the children.
While waiting for the caretaker to arrive, they prepared a simple dinner for the children – fried egg sandwiches and even prepared fresh fruit for the children.
They also washed the dishes afterwards.
The story of two kind-hearted police officers cooking dinner and washing up for the woman’s children quickly won thousands of hearts after going viral on social media.
The photo of the officers at the woman’s home has received 103,000 likes and has been shared more than 5,200 times since it was posted by Eindhoven police on Facebook.

It is certainly gratifying to see these police officers exceeding their duties.
They could obviously wait for the caretaker to arrive, but instead chose to show their generous and affectionate side to the young children and the wife. What a source of inspiration!
