Carl Jenkins and his wife, Nicola, who live in Hertfordshire, England, welcomed their youngest daughter Sadie in 2016.

Sadly, Sadie was born with a host of health complications.

The girl then had to spend the first ten months of her life in hospital. She also underwent a tracheostomy and has a tube to help her breathe.

When she was finally allowed to go home, Sadie was forced to sleep in a makeshift bedroom in the front room because of the tube she had to wear.

When a group of 60 dealers known as the “Band of Builders” heard of Sadie’s plight, they were determined to help relieve the pressure on the Jenkins by changing their home.

A group of builders on a mission to help merchants in need came from across the country and worked through cold weather and sleepless nights to complete the charity project.

The organization was founded by Adam Smith who first implemented a charity project for the home of his friend and colleague Keith Ellick after he was diagnosed with cancer. Smith was able to complete the project by hiring dealers from across the country.

It was certainly not easy for the group of builders to complete the transformation project for Sadie and her family.

During the renovation, they had to deal with sub-zero temperatures in winter as well as snow and ice.

They also had to de-ice the ground with a blowtorch and even had to make a public plea for the route to be reversed so they could receive the shipments in time.
