During the audition, Carson did a pirate-themed routine with his trusty hero dog. Dressed in costume and wielding a sword, Carson and Hiro put on a dramatic performance of dramatic background music. Their routine included various dog tricks and even a funny story in which Hero turned out to be the real hero of the day. Auditions for “America’s Got Talent” are often varied, but it’s safe to say that Carson and Hero’s routine was truly one of a kind.

Everyone in the audience seemed intrigued by their performance, and Cowell was impressed with the act. However, fellow judges Howie Mandel and Mel B weren’t as convinced as the rest of the audience. In fact, Coyle was shocked when both judges voted “no” to the decision to send Carson and Hero into the competition. Then, in a bizarre sequence of events, Cowell decides to take the show’s future into his own hands.

Also expressing his disagreement that Mandel and Mel B were unwilling to send the pair to the next stage of the competition, Cowell approached the stage where Carson cried at the sad news. Two negative votes mean that she will not be able to continue competing.

Then something unprecedented happened – when Coyle took the stage, he implored the judges to change his voice. He explained that he had seen something that had escaped the other judges. He immediately asked Mel B to change his mind, then focused on Mandel.

It must have meant something to see Cowell make such a huge petition to his fellow judges because Mandel decided to trust his star and ended up converting his vote to “yes”. Cowell then asked Heidi Klum, who also said “yes”.

With two yeses and a no from Mel B, Coyle told Carson that was a “yes” from him too. This means that she and Hero have reached the next round of the competition. It obviously meant the world to her, as she burst into tears and gave Quill a big hug saying “thank you.”

Carso and Hero continued to compete on the twelfth season of “America’s Got Talent”, finishing fifth overall. Considering how hard it was to fight for first place, that’s quite an achievement! We bet Coyle was very proud of them.

Since then, Carson has continued her career as a canine trick trainer. She trained The Super Collies, which includes Hero and several other dogs, and continued to play with them. They starred in “Puppy Bowl Presents: The Summer Games” and the hero had a starring role in “A Genie’s Tail.” Carson also released a book in 2022 titled Super Dog Tricks.

Carson and Hero’s audition for “America’s Got Talent” showed that people – and animals! They have talents of all kinds, and if only we take advantage of them, they can go on to do great things.
