Look, Kaydence’s brother wasn’t due for a week, so Kaydence thought she had been waiting a long time. When she went to visit her mother in the hospital, the baby was the last thing she expected.

The video begins with Caydence going to hug her mother from her hospital bed. That’s when mom breaks the news and asks her to meet her brother.

When little Kaydence turns to the crib and sees her brother for the first time, she can’t take her feelings anymore. The daughter bursts into tears talking about the value of the newborn. As mom tries to calm the little girl down, she’s obviously also dealing with a wide range of her own feelings as she tells Kaydence that she’s about to cry too!

Just when things can’t seem to get any better, Mom announces there’s someone else Kaydence is meeting.

The little girl turns to look out the door just in time to see her father smiling at her. Kaydence’s father was in Afghanistan and the little girl had no idea he would ever return home for the arrival of her new brother; Instead, I thought he would be gone for another four months.

Caydens is now overwhelmed with excitement. She crosses the room before anyone can stop her and throws herself into her father’s arms.

For young Kaydence, this will be remembered as one of the best days of her life. She had the biggest surprise not only with the arrival of her little brother, but also with the return of her father to the house before he planned it.
