Perry’s music video shows her pushing things into the trunk and pushing the dog, whose name is Neptune, into the trunk after grabbing his collar. Then Berry closes the trunk and goes out as if nothing had happened.
Although it’s hard for most people to imagine harming an animal, it’s something that happens every day. Despite the loyal and loving nature of many pets, some of them are mistreated by their owners.
It was reported that police arrived at the scene quickly. They handcuffed Berry and took her to the police station. The police department has announced that Brevard County will not tolerate cruelty to animals.
They issued a press release stating that anyone caught harming an animal would go to jail and be punished to the full extent of the law. The video clip of the incident was provided with the statement.
Unfortunately, Neptune suffered from severe malnutrition and emaciation. The dog’s condition was very poor, which led to a loss of muscle mass. The vet reported that he was able to see the dog’s pelvic bones and rib cage, which makes the situation even more terrifying. Neptune’s photos confirm the vet’s findings.
Sheriff Wayne Ivey spoke about the incident, including how the dog’s condition shows that Perry has no empathy for animals and should not be allowed to own a pet.
Berry initially attempted to turn Neptune over to the Humane Society of Brevard County. As the shelter was full, I asked them to put the dog away.
The request was denied because her reason for wanting to do so was not sufficient. She received information about additional resources, but apparently did not use the information provided. Charged with animal cruelty, Berry was released on bail.
