This is a lovely little Iranian short film that really helps demonstrate the universality of some issues, especially grief and loss. The film is very subtle, using little dialogue and primarily telling its story through images, the use of important visual motifs, and the music and subtle acting. However, the story still manages to emerge very clearly to anyone watching.
The film depicts a young boy whose firefighter father has recently died. The boy wants to be able to send a last message to his father, and he manages to come up with a means of doing so that is clever and childlike at the same time: he sends a letter to heaven in the sky on two helium balloons.
People should please SHARE this video on Facebook, since the short film is very sad and emotional, and there are few people in the world who have not lost someone at some point, making the video identifiable.
