The saying “never give up” turns out to be absolutely true for 92-year-old Lyndell Rhodes. This lady became very famous in the ninth decade of her life. Her love for music brought her the happiness she dreamed of.
As an amateur musician, she played instruments and wrote songs for her own pleasure. Recently, she wrote a song called “Little House on the Hill”. However, what she didn’t know is that the song will bring her great happiness.
Cannon’s friend, Lyndell’s son, is a record producer and after hearing the song he contacted Willie Nelson. Soon, Buddy and Willie give Lyndell the surprise of a lifetime. Hearing Willie’s voice sing her song, she was more than happy. She was also happy to know that Nelson really liked the song.
Lindell and his family are music lovers. They were particularly drawn to country music. I was introduced to this type of music from an early age. She now remembers her father playing the banjo.
However, Lendl was particularly fond of the harmonica. She became a very good harmonica player. In the past, she even recorded a CD of old songs and melodies, performed by Lundel herself. She never thought she would one day connect with an artist like Nelson. Now she’s proud to say she’s the author of a song Willie Nelson loves.
